Just a little bit of Shopping

This weekend I fancied having a little bit of a shop, so off I went to spend some of my pennies. I haven’t brought myself anything nice in a while so I thought I would treat myself to a few newbies. A few of the things below I ordered before my little shopping trip, so I am going to add them in here as well.

For years now, every time my mom has the Avon book at home we always have a look through together. Most of my nail varnishes are from the Avon book, they always seem to do the most lovely and subtle colours that just jump out and catch my eye straight away.

Avon Gel Shine Nail Varnish: Nudeitude

IMG_2173

IMG_2154The first thing I got was the Avon Gel Shine Nail Varnish in the colour Nudeitude. I loved this colour as soon as I saw it, I’ve always been into more subtle and neutral colours when it comes to nail varnishes. Plus the name of the colour is just fab!
It is called a ‘Gel Shine’ varnish, so I instantly thought maybe it might be a kind of gel varnish, but it is exactly what it says on the packet. When you apply the colour it just gives off this lovely shine which does actually look like you are wearing a gel varnish. So this first purchase has gone down very well and I’m looking forward to when I next apply it.

Avon Luminosity Eye Shadow Palette

The next thing I bought was the Avon Luminosity Eye Shadow Palette. When looking through the book there were so many different coloured palettes to choose from, but for some reason I couldn’t take my eyes off this one. I love the fact it starts with very subtle shades and then goes into a more vibrant and daring colour. However, even the last colour which comes across as daring is actually quite a nice low key colour. It doesn’t come out as bright/dark as you think it is going to. The colours also remind me of Easter/Spring colours which I think is what drew me towards this one a little bit more.
I would recommend this palette to beginners when it comes to eye shadow, but obviously even if you’re not a beginner with eye shadow there’s no reason why you can’t enjoy this lovely palette too. Also you can see it comes with the numbers 1 to 4 in the colours, which makes it a lot easier for you to know where to start with these colours.
This eye shadow palette is just a little bundle of joy and reminds me of easter eggs, chicks and bunnies and all the easter colours you can think of. I just love it!

Avon Eye Shadow Blending Brush

The last thing I got from the Avon book was the Avon Eye Shadow Blending Brush. After I had ordered the eye shadow palette I knew I needed a new blending brush, so I just went for a nice and simple blending brush. Nothing special, but just another one of my little purchases to share with you.

Lush Bath Bomb: The Experimenter

My next few purchases are all from Lush. I fancied a quick visit to check out some newbies that I hadn’t tried before and I must admit I was very pleasantly surprised.
Wow! For starters, this bath bomb is like nothing I have ever smelt before. I absolutely LOOOVE it! The only way I could describe this smell would be that it’s like an open fire in the middle of a forest. It is a very acquired and strong scent, so if you know you don’t like the smell of open fires then this bath bomb won’t be the one for you.
Secondly, this bath bomb is like nothing I have ever SEEN before! The burst of vibrant colours as soon as it hits the water is totally amazing. The bath starts off looking like a rainbow, but after a while the colours just join into one and the water is left quite a grey and murky colour. But it is lovely while it lasts! Also, be sure to wash the bath out properly afterwards as this one does leave a gold shimmer behind.

Lush Bath Bomb: Intergalactic

The second thing I bought from Lush was the Intergalactic Bath Bomb. I just instantly loved the look of this one. I haven’t got round to trying this one out just yet, but I can’t wait! Personally I would describe this scent as just your typical Lush scent, that smell you instantly get as soon as you walk into any Lush store. I love the silver/gold shimmer this bath bomb gives off when it is exposed to the light and how the little bursts of colour are slowly creeping out onto the surface. This one kind of reminds of some kind of dragons egg, which I think is what attracted me to it even more.

Lush Bubble Bar: Pink Flamingo

Finally, the last thing I bought on my trip to Lush was the Pink Flamingo, Bubble Bar. Let’s just start by appreciating how amazingly beautiful this bubble bar is! I have never used this one before, but I am so glad I got it. I am in love with this one. Even the vibrant colour and the fact it is on a stick makes me love it even more every time I use it.
If you haven’t used a bubble bar from Lush before all you have to do is just swill your bubble bar around the water when you are running your bath to create some lovely bubbles. Also this bubble bar turns your water pink, which makes this even more enjoyable to use and the best part about this pink flamingo is that it’s reuseable.
I would highly recommend this to anyone who loves their bath bubbles.
