Strawberry Picking

It’s a Saturday morning, you’ve just woken up, looked outside to see the blue skies and thought what can we do today? How about we go strawberry picking?! Yes!

I haven’t been strawberry picking in years! The last time I went was with my Aunty and we ended up taking so many strawberries, raspberries and plums home with us. It was one of the loveliest days of my teenage life.

If you want to go strawberry picking you need to go during July. They have everything in July, strawberries, raspberries, red currants, black currants, courgettes, broad beans, cauliflowers, I could go on and on.

Anyway, rambling again (oops). We ended up going to Stanleys Farm Shop near Kidderminster. When you arrive the atmosphere is just so relaxing and there’s no hassle at all. You just park the car, go in and pick up however many punnets you want and away you go, then you can just pay for your fruit and veg at the end when you’ve finished.
There is something very relaxing and therapeutic about going to pick your own fruit and veg and it is such a big place which means you’re never in the way of anyone else, you’re just able to get on with your own thing without bothering someone else or someone bothering you.

If you have never been fruit and veg picking before or you just haven’t been for a while, then go out and do it! You will absolutely love it. I find that there is just something so satisfying about picking your own fruit.

I hope you’re all having the best day ever! 🙂
