A PRODUCTIVE WEEKEND #1

Happy Sunday! It is the 22nd January and I am currently sitting typing this post and watching the Gavin & Stacey Christmas Special, I know… madness but I still love it all the same.

If you happen to follow me on Twitter then you may have seen I have been in quite a slump over my blog in the last week or so, I just needed a little break from it all and now I am back and raring to go! Starting with my new series of  ‘A PRODUCTIVE WEEKEND’. 🙂
I’ve decided that from now on I am going to document my whole weekend and put it into one big roundup blog post every Sunday, so CHIN CHIN to the first ever one.

FRIDAY 20TH JAN

Starting with Friday it was my little brothers 19th birthday, so like every year we all went out on the night for something to eat. It was the first time since Christmas that we had all been together and it was a such fab night, so many stuffed stomachs and hysterical moments.

One thing that makes me truly happy in life is spending time with my family.
It’s not that often me, my mom and brother are all together at the same time since we no longer all live together, so I always look forward to special occasions like Birthdays, Mothers Day’s and Christmas’ and know never to take them for granted. 🙂

SATURDAY 21ST JAN

Since moving house at the end of last year I have wanted the box room to be used as a little dressing room, somewhere I can sit down and do my hair and makeup instead of sitting on my bed with my mirror balanced up against the headboard and yesterday we finally got round to sorting it out. It was mainly the moving of furniture, so I am still putting things in their right places as I want to do a more detailed blog post ‘Inside My Dressing Room’ soon enough.

BEFORE

AFTER

It may not look like anything special to others but I absolutely love it.
I have already started to put things of those shelves you can see at the back, just a few things like family photos and cute little ornaments.

One of my favourite little touches has to be these Multi Coloured Battery Powered Star Lights I found just lying around doing nothing, so I thought what better way to use them then to hang them around the dressing table mirror. We all love to have cute little fairy lights, right?

Another one of my favourites is this Pinky/Purple Light Shade, which is actually the exact one I used to have in my bedroom at my Dad’s house when I was younger. I thought it went well with the colour scheme inside the room, along with loving the amazing pattern it makes.

I do have a lamp inside the room now but I am still obsessed with always having the main light on, purely because of the pattern it makes from the light shade onto the ceiling. I love it. 🙂

The last thing I wanted to show you in this post was this framed quote I have in the room which says “Always Believe That Something Wonderful Is About To Happen”. It is just a wooden quote which I actually found last week in The Card Factory and it was only £1.99, as soon as I read it I immediately wanted it. It is such a positive quote to read and one of my goals is to always be positive in life, so now every time I come in here I can always read it.

SUNDAY 22ND JAN

Today is a much more relaxed day, I have already finished all the ironing this morning and put a load of washing on. Now I am just finishing off this post and about to head out to the gym to TRY and get fit HA. I am so bad when it comes to going to the gym, but so far I have kept it up and I am determined to do so until I am HAPPY and CONFIDENT with my body. 🙂

I hope you have the best day & be happy.
Lots of love, Xandra Rose 🙂
