Happy Sunday peeps! If you happened to miss the first ‘A PRODUCTIVE WEEKEND‘ post from last week you can just click HERE to read it if you like. 🙂
However, if you did read it THANK YOU and thank you for reading this one too, you’re the best.
This weekend hasn’t been the most productive one I have ever had, but if I had to choose then Saturday would definitely be the winning day this weekend.
SATURDAY 28TH JAN (MORNING)
As some of you may know I do like to order quite a few products from the Avon catalogue, so before we went to the gym yesterday I decided to try out my new Daily Cream.
If you click HERE it will take you to another Avon cream I have been using, however I thought it was for both day and night use until recently I found out it was in fact a night cream, silly me.
This is in fact the day cream, which is an actual cream whereas the other one is a gel.
I don’t find this AS hydrating as the night-time one, but it is certainly better than some of the other moisturising creams I have used in the past.
Another thing I ordered from Avon was the Colour Selection Box, so I thought I would open this as I hadn’t got round to doing so yet. It felt like Christmas morning all over again.
I was pleasantly surprised at the things that were inside the box:
– 3 Nail Varnishes
– 1 Eyeshadow
– 1 Mascara
– 1 Lip Balm Tint
– 1 Lip Gloss
One of my favourite products in the box had to be this eyeshadow. The colour just sold it to me straight away, my favourite kind of eyeshadow colour has to be the brown, bronzey shades.
If you have never been through an Avon catalogue I would highly recommend you do. The majority of my skincare and makeup products are from Avon, I even get my hair brushes and makeup brushes from there. They are very inexpensive and great quality products.
SATURDAY 28TH JAN (EVENING)
I have really been taking this whole gym thing seriously over the last couple of weeks, so after we went yesterday I wanted to make some Porridge Bread (a much healthier snack).
All you need is:
– 500ml Low Fat Natural Yoghurt
– 2 pots of Porridge Oats (I measured them in the yoghurt pot once it was empty)
– 2tsps Bicarbonate of Soda
– 2 tsps Oil
Simply mix it all together in your mixing bowl, then place it into a loaf tin. 45 minutes in the oven on Gas Mark 4 (200 degrees) and you are good to go.
You can add whatever you like to it really, it just depends how sweet you want it to be or how healthy you are tying to be at the time.
I am beyond happy at how well it turned out in the end and I am 100% going to be baking this again. With prep and oven time it takes no more than an hour and what is an hour out of your day? It really is nothing and if you are trying to be healthy like me then be sure to give it a go.
I’m afraid that is your lot for this weekend, I really enjoyed baking the Porridge Bread as it was super easy and didn’t put me off wanting to bake it more often. The best kind of baking.
I hope you have the best day & be happy.
Lots of love, Xandra Rose 🙂
P.S. I hope you have had a brilliant weekend too!
