It’s not very often I will experiment with different beauty and skincare products, when I like something I literally LOVE IT and will continue to use it over and over again. Until recently, I have been very experimental with my products and this month I have found a few gems that I have been obsessing over and wanted to share with you. 🙂

Nivea Rich Moisturising Day Cream

I’m pretty sure this product was part of a Nivea gift set I received for Christmas, you know the ones you typically get every year and they always end up being your most used gifts because they are so handy to have in the house. I didn’t really plan on using this everyday it was more of a moisturiser I picked up because I couldn’t find my usual one at the time, 2 months later and I am still using it. I apply it every morning without fail, also I have never quite understood when people say “it makes your skin glow” until now, I can see such a huge difference with how much it gives my skin a radiant glow and leaves my skin feeling moisturised for hours.

Makeup Revolution Highlight & Blush Palette

It wasn’t until 2016 that I actually found out what a ‘highlighter’ was in makeup terms, I know I am disgusted with myself for even saying that but like I said before I very rarely experiment with new beauty products, which is something that needs to change ASAP. Even though this is a highlight and blush palette I am all about the highlighters in it, especially this one I’ve circled. This has been my go to highlighter for the past month or so, I apply it on the obvious areas such as the cheekbones and the temple but I have also been applying it to my cupids bow. It may have only been a few pounds from Superdrug but the pigmentation is amazing, I really feel like it makes my face look a lot healthier as it gives off such a beautiful shimmer.

Sleek Blush Palette – Lace

Sorry for the not so good picture, the lighting wasn’t playing ball at this point

This baby is the blush palette I have been using for way over a month now, I mean just look at how beautiful it is. For my everyday makeup look I always find myself reaching for the middle colour which is called Guipure, it is a beautiful pink shade with a glittery gold shimmer added to it. It is quite a pigmented blush so I always try to use it in moderation just so I don’t end up looking like a toy doll with ridiculously bright pink cheeks, I have also found it is really easy to apply and blends onto your skin nicely too.

Beauty Blender from Avon

This beauty blender was sitting in my makeup bag for months, completely abandoned but for some reason at the end of January I decided to give it a go. I dotted my foundation around my face as normal, poured some water over the sponge so it was a little damp and started blending in the foundation and it was such a pleasant surprise how quick and easy it was to do.
With this blender I don’t use half as much foundation as I normally would as it seems to go such a long way. My first thoughts were how weird the shape of the sponge was and how it would never work but the shape actually helps you around the eye area as it makes it a lot easier to apply it in the corner of the eyes.

Primark Hoop Earrings

The last time I wore hoop earrings I think I was in secondary school… so quite a long time ago now. But in December last year I went out looking for some new earrings I could wear for my works Christmas do. As always I found myself pondering the earrings section in Primark and noticed they had so many different styles of hooped earrings. I went for these ones because the rose gold colouring kind of drew me to them and I liked how they weren’t the same colour all the way around, they have the little diamantes down the front and I guess I must like them because they are the only earrings I have been wearing for the last 2 months. I like how easy they are to clip on at the back, you just put it through your earlobe and there is a little hole that clips straight onto it, so you don’t have to worry about losing the back on an earring with these ones which is always handy.

Just a few little bits I have been loving this month, I hope you liked it.

I hope you have the best day & be happy.
Lots of love, Xandra Rose 🙂

I’ve been looking for a new affordable moisturiser and the Nivea one sounds great, I’ll have to try it out! And the highlighter palette is beautiful! I’m really loving these affordable brands in Superdrug – they’re definitely a match for the more pricey luxury ones! For some reason, the beauty blender just didn’t work for me, but maybe I was just using it wrong 🙈 Love this post! xxx
