REVIEW: AVON NUDE LIPSTICK

You may or may not be aware that every month me and my mom always order from the Avon catalogue and have been doing so for as long as I can remember. This month was no different and I ordered quite a few bits, but I wanted to give you my thoughts on this certain lipstick.

I’m hoping the first thing you will notice is the gorgeous marble effect the lipstick has, I think the effect is what initially drew me to it and because I am a huge nude lip fan. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a lipstick with such a beautiful effect but you know what they say, looks can be deceiving.

The picture really doesn’t do the packaging much justice but the gold is actually a beautiful rose gold colour with a black bottom and lid, which I think is the perfect match.

Moving onto the lip colour itself I was really disappointed because it has hardly any colour pay off and looks more like a lip gloss to me.
Don’t get me wrong if you’re looking for a moisturising lipstick and something to make your lips feel softer then this is the one for you, but I was expecting a matte lipstick with a bold colour.
The colour is called ‘Nuturing Nude’ and I don’t feel it looks like a nude colour at all, it may have a little bit of a nude shimmer to it but it looks a lot more rosy to me.

I would have to describe this as more of a lip gloss than a lipstick and I’m not the biggest lip gloss fan, however if I ever want to tone down my lip for the day and if they are feeling a little dry then I would definitely considering wearing this one.

The packaging is beautiful and gets a 10/10 for me but sadly the lipstick itself only gets a 4/10.

I hope you have the best day & be happy.
Lots of love, Xandra Rose 🙂

I order from Avon every month to! I have to admit I have a love/hate relationship with Avon because I would much rather see what I am buying before I buy it. I find the lipsticks can’t be quite decieving, have you tried their makeup brushes? I was pleasantly surprised with them xx

I completely agree with you! And yes I have the blusher brush and an eyeshadow brush and I love them! That’s so strange how we both find the lipsticks deceiving but the brushes are great haha. Thank you for reading and commenting lovely xo
