REVIEW: DR BOTANICALS FACIAL OIL

I am going to be totally honest with you all and tell you I have never been a huge fan of facial oils, the last one I used left my face feeling like I had dipped it in vegetable oil, it had such a horrible, thick consistency and then to top it all off as soon as the bottle had been opened it decided to leak everywhere, even when it was stood up right. It was just a nightmare basically.

So being the skincare junkie that I am I was hardly going to decline the offer of reviewing this facial oil by Dr Botanicals was I? The first thing that came to my mind was that surely this one couldn’t be as bad as the last one I tried out. So they very kindly sent me their (wait for it this ones a mouthful) Advanced Anti-Oxidant Superfood Facial Oil… aaaaand breathe.

Personally I can’t say I’m a big fan of the outer packaging and I’m really sorry if that may sound a bit harsh but to me it just screams boring and has far too many words on it. But as the saying goes, you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover and it’s whats on the inside that counts.

I have been using this product every morning for almost 2 weeks now and I can honestly say I haven’t been disappointed with it so far. I squeeze a tiny amount of the oil into the palm of my hand and dot it around my face and some on my neck, then just simply rub it all in. Usually if there is any product left behind I will dab it with a cotton pad to get rid of the excess oil, but this oil is brilliant in the way it instantly absorbs into the skin without leaving your face dripping wet.

Even after such a short amount of time I have already noticed a few little differences in my skin and how much softer it feels and even seeing all the impurities that lie beneath surfacing to the top, which gives me proof that this product is actually working in the way I would hope it to.

Another huge plus for me is the way the oil can be applied. Like I said before I squeeze a little bit of the oil onto my hand, as you can see here the top of the bottle is actually rubber and allows you to suck up and squeeze out as much product as you feel necessary (unlike my last one).

So in all honestly I am going to give this product a 9/10, it would have been a 10/10 if the packaging had appealed to me a little more but apart from that the product itself is fab!

Oh and before you go, if for any reason you would like to try this product out it is available to purchase for the price of £67.50 but if you use my code XANDRABLOG (which goes live from tomorrow, 1st April ’17) you can get it for a whopping £19.99

I hope you have the best day & be happy.
Lots of love, Xandra Rose 🙂
