I’ve always been a big fan of dry shampoo ever since I can remember; whether it was just a little cheapo one I had found in Body Care or the well-known and loved Batiste range. Then when I finally ran out of them and didn’t have time to go and get myself a new one I would stick with the good old talcum powder, so there is always something you can use during those hectic mornings. Also, I was going to say as I was growing up washing my hair was always a chore but let’s face it, washing your hair is always going to be a chore no matter what age you are.
I admit, for the past year or so I have been extremely lazy where dry shampoo is concerned and have been absolutely rinsing the talcum powder we have lying around the house.
Then coincidently I received a Batiste product in my June Glossybox and then all of a sudden those teenage years full of dry shampoo came to mind.
So yes, I finally went out to Boots and picked myself up a couple of the beloved Batiste Dry Shampoos. I’ve been trying them out for the past month or so and now I’m just obsessed, which could only mean one thing and of course that is to tell you all about them.
The 2in1 Invisible Dry Shampoo and Conditioner is a complete new one on me, I believe they haven’t actually been out for all that long, but do correct me if I’m wrong.
I’ve only ever experienced dry shampoo so I thought I would give this a whirl to see if a 2in1 would make any difference to my hair. To start with they had 3 different scents and I opted for the Orange and Pomegranate, which just smells amaaaaazing!
When I applied it to my hair I did notice it felt much softer but I’m guessing that’s because of the conditioner in the product. At first it did come out pure white onto my hair (as I have dark hair) and I instantly thought there’s no way this stuff is invisible, until I starting massaging it in and it all just disappeared within seconds… I was actually gobsmacked haha. (Defo a 10/10!).
Now we have my favourite of the two, which is the Dry Shampoo for Brunettes. Trying to get rid of white patches in my hair is the bane of my life when it comes to dry shampoo or talcum powder. So when I saw Batiste sell a dry shampoo specifically for brunettes I was over the moon, they really do cater for every hair colour out there and that’s what I love about them.
This one doesn’t have a named scent but it smells light and fresh, which is always a good sign if your end goal is to have fresh looking hair.
Again, when I first sprayed it into my roots it didn’t come out white but it was a dark grey kind of colour, so I knew it wasn’t as serious as the previous one but once again when I started massaging it into my hair it just disappeared and almost instantly I had cleaner looking locks… Not to mention the volume and shine it gave my hair. (Easily an 11/10!!)
If you’re new to Dry Shampoos and haven’t already tried out the Batiste range, I would highly recommend them to you. They have so many more products to choose from, you are literally spoilt for choice and they are such excellent value for money!
I hope you have the best day & be happy.
Lots of love, Xandra Rose 🙂
